“I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn't be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.” - Roald Dahl
I share Mr. Dahl's passion for teaching children to become readers, and it is my hope that each student leaves my class with a love of reading and an understanding of how important being a reader is to his/her future success.
While this is my second year at Brandon Middle, I have been teaching in Rankin County for 13.5 years. Last year I taught 8th grade Pre-AP English, but this year I am entering the thrilling world of 7th grade Pre-AP English. I am excited to see what blessings this new world has in store for me!
A native of Grenada, I moved to Brandon with my husband twelve years ago. We now have two children (and four rescued furbabies) who are proud to be Brandon Bulldogs!
