Pelahatchie Attendance Zone boasts an enrollment of approximately 720 students
in kindergarten through twelfth grade. A professional staff is committed to
motivating students to achieve their best.
PARENT/COMMUNITY NETWORKING
In an attempt to create a partnership between the school and the home, the
principals and teachers encourage involvement of families and community groups
in projects to benefit the school. Pelahatchie Elementary and Pelahatchie
Attendance Center have active PTO groups that provide invaluable volunteer work
at the schools.
Additionally, all schools participate in the Partners in Education program, which is a direct partnership between the school and a business or community group. This program helps to enrich the educational process by direct involvement. Businesses, community groups and the school, work together to build strong schools that offer the best educational opportunities for students and thus contribute to the overall quality of life in the community.
